Further to the FCA’s work on Safeguarding at the end of 2019, AFEP have updated their Safeguarding Good Practice Guidance. To launch this guidance, AFEP are hosting a Safeguarding workshop aimed at Heads of Compliance and Senior Compliance professionals. The details of the event are:At this event, EY will talk to members about the key points of the updated guidance and the key areas to review in your firms. There will also be time spent talking through documentation which allows you to do a Gap analysis of your own Safeguarding processes within your firms. Given the FCA’s recent communication around Insurance Bonds (attached), Protean Risk Insurance will present on their Safeguarding Insurance bond, and Thame Systems will also present on their IT platform which allows for effective Safeguarding processes. The updated guidance will be circulated prior to the event.
