Corporate Governance

Let's talk Corporate Governance

Board Directors/Compliance Officers (especially those with SMF16/17) have a duty to ensure regulated firms conduct their business appropriately and act in a fit and proper way by challenging decision making and keeping decision makers accountable. This includes areas like Whistleblowing, Remuneration, Conflicts of Interest, Firm Governance, and Financial Management.

Craig Neilson from Dentons has collaborated with AFEP to update our Good Practice Guidance on Corporate Governance which can now be found on the member portal with follow up events in the Autumn. It's a must read!
